Ramakrishna Mission, Indore

Charitable Physiotherapy Centre

Swami Vivekananda proclaimed, “This is the gist of all worship — to be pure and to do good to others. He who sees Shiva in the poor, the weak, and the diseased, really worships Shiva; and, if he sees Shiva only in the image, his worship is but preliminary.”

Many such inspired utterances of Swami Vivekananda resulted in the genesis of the Ramakrishna Mission. The Mission provides services, such as medical, education and spiritual amongst others, to everyone irrespective of caste, creed and religion.

The Ashrama started a charitable physiotherapy centre in 2007 to serve patients or Rogi-Narayana. Revered Swami Gitanandaji Maharaj, the then Vice President of Ramakrishna Order, inaugurated the centre. Though the physiotherapy centre provides treatment with modern devices, it charges nominal fees. It serves around 20,000 patients every year.
