We are happy to inform you that we organized a "Bal Sanskar Shivir" for young boys in the age group 11–15 years from April 8 to April 21, 2024. The two-week-long shivir consisted of six sessions each day for half an hour each on various disciplines such as vedic chanting, bhajans, personality development as envisaged by Swami Vivekananda, drawing, Vedic mathematics, educational movies, group discussions, quiz competitions, indoor sports such as chess, carrom, etc. There was a break after 3 sessions, and the children were provided fresh fruits such as bananas, oranges, etc. to have along with their tiffins.
The shivir inculcated a sense of cultural, moral, academic, creative thinking, and sports values in the children. Various competitions, such as drawing, model making, Vedic mathematics, and sports, were held, and winners were awarded prizes for the same. Around 35 children participated in the Shivir, and five young volunteers of the Ashrama were actively involved in organizing it.
