ভবদারা ভয়হরা নাম শুনেছি তোমার,
তাইতে এবার দিয়েছি ভার তারো তারো না তারো মা।
তুমি মা ব্রহ্মাণ্ডধারী ব্রহ্মাণ্ড ব্যাপিকে,
কে জানে তোমারে তুমি কালী কি রাধিকে, ঘটে ঘটে তুমি ঘটে আছ গো জননী,
মূলাধার কমলে থাক মা কুলকুণ্ডলিনী।
তদূর্ধ্বেতে আছে মাগো নামে স্বাধিষ্ঠান, চতুর্দল পদ্মে তথায় আছ অধিষ্ঠান।
চতুদলে থাক তুমি কুলকুণ্ডলিনী,
ষড়দল বজ্রাসনে বস মা আপনি।
তদূর্ধ্বেতে নাভিস্থান মা মণিপুর কয়,
নীলবর্ণের দশদল পদ্ম যে তথায়,
সুষুম্নার পথ দিয়ে এস গো জননী,
কমলে কমলে থাক কমলে কামিনী।
তদূর্ধ্বেতে আছে মাগো সুধা সরোবর, রক্তবর্ণের দ্বাদশদল পদ্ম মনোহর,
পাদপদ্ম দিয়ে যদি এ পদ্ম প্রকাশ।
(মা), হৃদে আছে বিভাবরী তিমির বিনাশ। তদূর্ধ্বেতে আছে মাগো নাম কণ্ঠস্থল, ধূম্রবর্ণের পদ্ম আছে হয়ে ষোড়শদল।
সেই পদ্ম মধ্যে আছে অম্বুজে আকাশ,
সে আকাশ রুদ্ধ হলে সকলি আকাশ।
তদূর্ধ্বে ললাটে স্থান মা আছে দ্বিদল পদ্ম, সদায় আছয়ে মন হইয়ে আবদ্ধ।
মন যে মানে না আমার মন ভাল নয়,
দ্বিদলে বসিয়া রঙ্গ দেখয়ে সদায়।
তদূর্ধ্বে মস্তকে স্থান মা অতি মনোহর, সহস্রদল পদ্ম আছে তাহার ভিতর।
তথায় পরম শিব আছেন আপনি,
সেই শিবের কাছে বস শিবে মা আপনি।
তুমি আদ্যাশক্তি মা জিতেন্দ্রিয় নারী,
যোগীন্দ্র মুনীন্দ্র ভাবে নগেন্দ্র কুমারী।
হর শক্তি হর শক্তি সুদনের এবার,
যেন না আসিতে হয় মা ভব পারাবার।
তুমি আদ্যাশক্তি মাগো তুমি পঞ্চতত্ত্ব,
কে জানে তোমারে তুমি তুমিই তত্ত্বাতীত।
ওমা ভক্ত জন্য চরাচরে তুমি সে সাকার,
পঞ্চে পঞ্চ লয় হলে তুমি নিরাকার।

English Rendering
Thy name, I have heard, O Consort of Siva, is the destroyer of our fear,
And so on Thee I cast my burden: Save me! Save me, O kindly Mother!
Out of Thy womb the world is born, and Thou it is that dost pervade it.
Art Thou Kali? Art Thou Radha? Who can ever rightly say?
Mother, in every living creature Thou dost have Thy dwelling-place;
As Kundalini Thou dost live in the lotus of the Muladhara.
Above it lies the Svadhisthana, where the four-petalled lotus blooms;
There also Thou dost make Thy home, O mystic power of Kundalini,
In the four petals of that flower, and in Vajrāsana's six petals. At the navel is Manipura, the blue ten-petalled lotus flower;
Through the pathway of Sushumna, Thou dost ascend and enter there.
O Lady of the lotuses, in lotus blossoms Thou dost dwell!
Beyond them lies the Lake of Nectar, in the region of the heart, Where the twelve-petalled lotus flower enchants the eye with scarlet flame.
When Thou dost open it, O Mother, touching it with Thy Lotus Feet,
The age-long darkness of the heart instantly scatters at Thy sight.
Above, in the throat, is the sixteen-petalled lotus flower, of smoky
hue;
Within the petals of this flower there lies concealed a subtle space, Transcending which, one sees at length the universe in Space dissolve.
And higher yet, between the eyebrows, blossoms the lotus of two petals.
Where the mind of man remains a prisoner and past controlling; From this flower the mind desires to watch the sportive play of life.
Highest of all, within the head, the soul-enthralling centre is, Where shines the thousand-petalled lotus, Mahādeva's dwelling-place.
Having ascended to His throne, O Spouse of Śiva, sit beside Him! Thou art the Primal Power, O Mother! She whose senses are controlled;
The yogis meditate on Thee as Uma, great Himalaya's daughter.
Thou who art the Power of Siva! Put to death my ceaseless cravings;
Grant that I never fall again into the ocean of this world.
Mother, Thou art the Primal Power, Thou the five cosmic prin-ciples;
Who can ever hope to know Thee, who art beyond all principles? Only for Thy bhaktas' sake dost Thou assume Thy various forms;
But when Thy devotee's five senses merge in the five elements,
Mother, it is Thyself alone that he beholds as formless Truth.

हिन्दी भावार्थ
"हे भवानी, मैंने तुम्हारा भयहर नाम सुना है, इसीलिए तो अब मैंने तुम पर अपना भार सौंप दिया है।
अब तुम मुझे तारो या न तारो। माँ, तुम ब्रह्माण्डजननी हो, ब्रह्माण्डव्यापिनी हो। तुम काली हो या राधिका यह कौन जाने!
हे जननी, तुम घट घट में विराजमान हो।
मूलाधारचक्र के चतुर्दल कमल में तुम कुलकुण्डलिनी के रूप में विद्यमान हो।
तुम्हीं सुषुम्ना मार्ग से ऊपर उठती हुई स्वाधिष्ठानचक्र के षड्द्दल तथा मणिपूरचक्र के दशदल कमल में पहुँचती हो।
हे कमलकामिनी, तुम ऊध्र्वोर्ध्व कमलों में निवास करती हो। हृदयस्थित अनाहतचक्र के द्वादशदल कमल को अपने पादपद्म के द्वारा प्रस्फुटित कर तुम हृदय के अज्ञानतिमिर का विनाश करती हो।
इसके ऊपर कण्ठस्थित विशुद्धचक्र में धूम्रवर्ण षोडशदल कमल है। इस कमल के मध्यभाग में जो आकाश है, वह यदि अवरुद्ध हो जाय तो सर्वत्र आकाश ही रह जाता है।
इसके ऊपर ललाट में अवस्थित आज्ञाचक्र के द्विदल कमल में पहुँचकर मन आबद्ध हो जाता है वह वहीं रहकर मजा देखना चाहता है, और ऊपर नहीं उठना चाहता।
इससे ऊपर मस्तक में सहस्रारचक्र है। वहाँ अत्यन्त मनोहर सहस्त्रदल कमल है, जिसमें परमशिव स्वयं विराजमान हैं।
हे शिवानी, तुम वहीं शिव के निकट जा विराजो! हे माँ, तुम आद्याशक्ति हो। योगी तथा मुनिगण तुम्हारा नगेन्द्रनन्दिनी उमा के रूप में ध्यान करते है।
तुम शिव की शक्ति हो। तुम मेरी वासनाओं का हरण करो ताकि मुझे फिर इस भवसागर में पतित न होना पड़े।
माँ, तुम्हीं पंचतत्त्व हो, फिर तुम तत्त्वों के अतीत हो। तुम्हें कौन जान सकता है! हे माँ, संसार में भक्तों के हेतु तुम साकार बनी हो, परन्तु पंचेन्द्रियाँ पंचतत्त्व में विलीन हो जाने पर तुम्हारे निराकार स्वरूप का ही अनुभव होता है।"
