সুরা পান করি না আমি সুধা খাই জয় কালী বলে,
মন-মাতালে মাতাল করে মদ-মাতালে মাতাল বলে।
গুরুদত্ত গুড় লয়ে, প্রবৃত্তি তায় মশলা দিয়ে;
জ্ঞান শুঁড়িতে চোঁয়ায় ভাঁটী পান করে মোর মন-মাতালে।
মূল মন্ত্র যন্ত্রভরা, শোধন করি বলে তারা;
প্রসাদ বলে এমন সুরা খেলে চতুর্বর্গ মেলে।

English Rendering
I drink no ordinary wine, but Wine of Everlasting Bliss, As I repeat my Mother Käli's name; It so intoxicates my mind that people take me to be drunk!
First my guru gives molasses for the making of the Wine; My longing is the ferment to transform it. Knowledge, the maker of the Wine, prepares it for me then; And when it is done, my mind imbibes it from the bottle of the mantra,
Taking the Mother's name to make it pure. Drink of this Wine, says Ramprasad, and the four fruits of life are yours.

हिन्दी भावार्थ
"मैं सुरापान नहीं करता, 'जय काली' कहता हुआ सुधा का पान करता हूँ।
वह सुधा मुझे इतना मतवाला बना देती है कि लोग मुझे नशाखोर कहते हैं।
गुरुजी का दिया हुआ गुड़ लेकर उसमें प्रवृत्ति का मसाला मिलाकर ज्ञानरूपी कलार उससे शराब बनाता है, और मेरा मतवाला मन उसे मूलमन्त्ररूपी बोतल में से पीता है।
पीने के पहले 'तारा' कहकर मैं उसे शुद्ध कर लेता हूँ। 'रामप्रसाद' कहता है कि ऐसी शराब पीने पर धर्म-अर्थादि चतुवर्ग की प्राप्ति होती है।”
